BCRM Extends 50% Debt Relief Incentive Scheme and Prepaid Electricity Box Amnesty

The Blue Crane Route Municipality is pleased to announce that Council has approved the extension of the 50% Debt Relief Incentive Scheme and Prepaid Electricity Box Amnesty for a further three months, from 01 July 2026 to 30 September 2026.

The extension provides qualifying residents with an additional opportunity to settle outstanding municipal debt, restore their municipal accounts to good standing and ensure continued access to essential municipal services.

Residents with outstanding municipal accounts and qualifying prepaid electricity customers are encouraged to visit their nearest municipal office to enquire about the qualifying criteria and application process before the closing date.

Every payment made towards municipal accounts contributes directly to improved service delivery, including reliable water supply, sustainable electricity services, refuse collection, road maintenance and safer communities.

The Municipality urges all eligible residents to take advantage of this limited-time opportunity before the scheme closes on 30 September 2026.
